[attr="class","hoenn_body"] Pokémon Contests are special events that are held on a bi-monthly basis. Each one is hosted in a different city and will focus on a particular Condition which all Coordinators must abide by to maximize their chances of winning the competition.

Participants may enlist one Pokémon to represent them and their skills as Coordinators.

Each post has a minimum requirement of 300 words or more, but it is also highly advised that you do not make them needlessly lengthy, as this makes keeping track of the Contest's pace more difficult.

The ultimate objective of a Pokémon Contest is to write your posts as skillfully as possible while keeping within the constraints of the specified Condition. A Coolness Contest, for example, expects participants to demonstrate how and why your Pokémon is deserving of recognition for being so cool; the kinds of moves it knows, in addition to how well the Coordinator instructs them to perform said moves, all play a role in the amount of points they earn.

When all rounds are finished, a winner will be determined based on a polled vote, how well each participant stayed within the listed prompts, attention to detail, good sportsmanship, and the judgement of the staff team.

Contest Ribbons will be awarded to the event's best performers based on these results, in addition to a bevy of wonderful prizes and gifts.

If any attempts at cheating are made during a Pokémon Contest, or if a participant consistently shows poor behavior during the event, they are subject to immediate disqualification and will be denied any rewards they may have received otherwise. These are meant to serve as a fun and creative writing exercise above all else!
