[attr="class","announcement_title"]DAY CARE REGISTRATION
[attr="class","announcement_body"]The Pokémon Day Care is a most invaluable service offered to people in need of a way to have Pokémon raised and taken care of in their absence. Located just outside of Verdanturf Town, it is operated by a kindly old couple who have made it their mission to show every Pokémon they are tasked with looking after the same love and respect given to them by their own Trainers.[break][break]
The abundance of space available to the Day Care Couple enables them to raise and care for a veritable quantity of Pokémon, not only generating enough revenue to keep this humble business in operation, but also to offer potential Pokémon Breeders an opportunity to develop their knowledge of the trade firsthand. Leave two compatible Pokémon here for a while, and you may return to discover an Egg!
[break][break][break]
It costs 200 to deposit a Pokémon into the Day Care, and each character is permitted to leave up to two Pokémon at any given point.[break]
For each real-time day a Pokémon continues to sit in the Day Care, they will increase by two Levels. Any moves they would learn in this fashion will automatically replace the oldest one they know.[break]
In order to withdraw a Pokémon from the Day Care due to the effort it takes to raise them, you must pay a retrieval fee of 25, multiplied by the number of days they spent being raised here. For example, a Pokémon that has spent a full calendar week being cared for can be taken back at a combined cost of 175.[break]
If two compatible Pokémon are left in the Day Care for an extended period of time, there is a chance that they will produce an Egg. Should this happen, it does not cost anything to claim it, but this must be done within three days after being notified or else it will be placed up for adoption.[break]
[break][break]
Two Pokémon are required for breeding. There are no workarounds.[break]
Both Pokémon must be of opposite genders for breeding to successfully occur.[break]
They are considered compatible if both Pokémon are of the same species, belong to the same evolutionary family, or if share at least one Egg Group with each other.[break]
The sole exception to this rule is if either Pokémon is a Ditto; in this case, the Ditto is compatible with any Pokémon, including those without a gender – this is the only way a non-gendered Pokémon can produce an Egg.[break]
Pokémon that belong to the Undiscovered Egg Group cannot breed whatsoever. Similarly, two Dittos cannot breed with each other.[break]
Certain Pokémon species have gendered counterparts. Breeding them with one another, or a Ditto, has equal odds of producing an Egg that may hatch into a Pokémon of either gender.[break]
Some species of Pokémon will produce Eggs that hatch into a completely different Pokémon if certain Incense items are presented to the Day Care Couple beforehand.[break]
