[attr="class","gymhe"]WATER • SHANE ROYER
[attr="class","gym_body"]
The Lilycove Gym & Dance Aquatica was founded fairly recently, but first as permanent concert arena. Here, pontoon boats gathered around the central stage to witness one of the premiere musical acts of the Hoenn region, Rowdy Royer. A mix of folk, rock, and electronica had a beat heavy and sick enough to rock the waves of this Great Marsh extension when people needed an escape. Royer himself made a name for himself being a master of the terrain, oftentimes taking on attendees in Battles for the entertainment of the rest.[break][break]
Suffice it to say, the Dance Aquatica remains unchanged besides the facade to the bayou-esque arena, which now signifies it as an official gym, young though it may be.[break][break]

Each Trainer will be using only 3 Pokemon, one of which must be a Water-type. The entirety of the stadium sized area is covered in varying depths of water, small shoals, and many cypress trees which provide the primary means of movement, standing ground, and aerial cover and perches, respectively. At the center is an omnidirectional sound stage, which plays dope beats from the Gym Leader himself as the battle continues The lack of solid ground makes it almost impossible to move without either a boat, or in the matter of this challenge, a Water Chariot. Your designated Charioteer will be the Water-type in charge of pulling you through the Gym, but it is your responsibility to stay on it. Falling off your Chariot FIVE times will result in your immediate disqualification. [break][break]
The first round is a Double Battle between the remaining Pokemon, which is carried out over the whole of the arena. Remember the surroundings and use them to your advantage. The round is won by whoever has a Pokemon left standing. Standard battle rules apply, besides this: attacking the opponent’s chariot or in the proximity of their chariot with the intention of knocking the trainer off is grounds for a permanent ban from the Gym.[break][break]
The second round is a Single Battle between the Charioteer pokemon. Charioteers at no point during the challenge may be switched out. They may not be healed before the second round commences. They will still pull the chariots, and the rule mentioned regarding actions that would result in a permanent ban no longer applies during this round.[break][break]
To win the challenge, the challenger must win both rounds. Ties go to the Gym Leader, except on the rare occasion the audience believes the challenger displays unique style and flair in the control of the chariot (not falling off) and willingness to get creative. Stunts and acts of daring-do count almost equally with battle wins. Ride the wakes and have fun!

Challenger Note: All Pokémon will be automatically scaled to the level of the challenger's highest leveled Pokémon that is challenging this gym. [break]
