Experts have argued over the impact humans have had on Pokémon for generations, although some of the more radical thinkers believe people to be inherently negative for the world's future prosperity. The most extreme views posit that mankind must be removed entirely to give the planet and its Pokémon a "clean slate", untainted by the touch of man.[break][break]

Enter Team Aqua: a secret coalition of ecoterrorists that seeks to increase the planet's total volume of water in order to create a world suited exclusively for Pokémon habitation. This means that Team Aqua is more likely to cause direct havoc against other people with their Pokémon, ranging from various criminal enterprises to terrorizing whole populations.[break][break]

No one is certain when Team Aqua precisely came to be, but their appearance is directly linked to the existence of a rival coalition that calls themselves Team Magma, who seek to undermine Team Aqua's ambitions for Pokémon by forcibly creating more land mass. They fiercely oppose one another, whether in public or private, and will stop at nothing to ensure the complete destruction of their hated enemies and all who would stand in their way.[break][break]




Once a character is recruited into Team Aqua as a Grunt, they will be issued one of the following Pokémon. It is randomly generated at Level 10 and can be claimed within the Team Aqua Recruitment thread after posting in it.[break][break]

Team Aqua does not require HM03 (Surf) to traverse water routes, due to having an available supply of watercraft and swimming gear for Grunts to freely use.
