精神病の愛 TAG @anyone WORDS 607 NOTES feel free to join! until then this will be solo | Littleroot Town was too bright and jolly for his taste. Everything was just too... pretty. It didn't sit well with him. So, despite starting his journey in the traditional manner in the "first" town of the region he grew up in, he quickly made his wait to Route 101 to get the hell out. He honestly didn't know what to do now that he had joined Team Magma, which had been his goal since he was a child. He expected to be sent on some grand mission or given some Magma-esque responsibility to dedicate his time to. Instead, he was gifted another Pokemon and sent on his way. He vaguely remembered hearing about a mission involving a volcano that was being assigned to multiple grunts at similar points in their Team Magma careers; however, he was encouraged not to attempt the expedition on his own. He didn't exactly have any acquaintances within the organization to bring along, so it quickly became clear that such a mission was not to be on his radar. Not yet, in any case. The best thing he could do for now was strengthen his team so that he'd be ready for any future endeavors. With this in mind, he headed to Route 101 to begin his unofficial journey.[break] "Hard to call it a journey when you have no end goal." he mumbled grumpily to himself. The Vulpix trotting along beside him gently rubbed her face against his leg as if in response to his complaint. Rowan responded with a glance and a shrug, but was quickly distracted by a sudden feeling of peace. Or, perhaps peace was the wrong word for it. It was more like any negative energy he possessed was being evaporated from him. He hadn't realized just how grumpy he had been until he suddenly wasn't. [break] "Shuppet." the name- or lack thereof- was spoken with a sense of reprimand, but only halfheartedly. He redirected his attention to the source of the negativity disappearing: the ghost-type was hovering about his shoulder, feeding on the bit of resentment Rowan had been harboring. Yes, he was disappointed that he wasn't given special treatment as the son of Magma Veterans and sent off on some special mission, but the Shuppet didn't have to take it away from him. He thrived off of such a feeling that could push him towards success. The Shuppet paid no mind to Rowan's obvious disapproval, instead floating off to his usual place beside the Seviper that was also traveling with the team. They seemed to be quite close.[break] Rowan wasn't used to having all of his Pokemon out of their respective Pokeballs, but he wanted them to train. He also figured he could introduce them to the new member of their pack. As the thought crossed his mind, he reached for the last full Pokeball at his belt and released -- Numel?[break] The camel looked around dumbly, not even seeming to notice the Pokemon surrounding him, and released a lazy yawn. "You have got to be kidding me..." Rowan mumbled, encouraging the Shuppet to drift back over and feed off of any negativity it could find. Must be hungry. Meanwhile, the Vulpix cautiously stepped closer to the newcomer, sniffing curiously, and the Seviper simply stared with its head cocked, as if watching prey. Sooner rather than later, Seviper lost interest. Clearly the Numel didn't look nearly appetizing enough. [break] A normal trainer might reward the new party addition with a name, but Rowan didn't bother. They were just creatures, after all. Why give them names as if they deserved to be treated as anything but? |
